Narrative therapy for individuals and couples

Dr. Sabrina Rood,

Narrative Therapist

Thank you for visiting my website!

I provide supportive, professional narrative therapy for individuals and couples, helping to instill hope for a healthier, more joyful way of life.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, I am currently only seeing my clients via telehealth, offering confidential Zoom and telephone sessions five days a week.

I believe that therapy is a unique, positive step you can take toward growth. You are not alone.

Using narrative therapy and a person-centered, strengths-based approach to our work together, I will assist you in setting goals and in making changes in your life.

We will identify your joys while addressing the areas of your life that can be improved. I will help you to shine the light on the sparkling moments in your day, week, and life.

I hold a doctoral degree in counseling psychology from Argosy University and a master's in counseling psychology from Bethel University. In 2020 I will be pursuing my WA state licensure as a psychologist. I am an LGBTQ-friendly counselor and I welcome clients who are specifically looking for counseling that is poly- and kink-friendly. I love to help my clients in the areas of relationship, grief and loss, spirituality, sexuality, and self-compassion, and I specialize in helping adults with Asperger's or high-functioning autism. I offer diagnostic assessment for adults who believe they may be on the autism spectrum, as well as supportive narrative therapy. Additionally, I hope to offer monthly therapeutic support groups for adults on the spectrum.
